Our Programs

After School Care

Monday – Friday, 2:30pm-6:30pm

Children will be picked up from their elementary schools and brought to PREP Academy’s location. While there students will work on their homework, teachers will provide remediation and enrichment on standards students are learning in class, and students will receive a snack and an evening meal.

While in after school care students will also complete different STEM/STEAM Activities and writing enrichment. For students who are in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who take the Georgia Milestones, they will receive test preparation practice.

INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM

Transportation to and from school will be the responsibility of the parent. Students may be transported by the local school bus system from their school to one of our locations. A transportation form from the local school system must be completed and signed in order for your child to be transported to a PREP Academy of Learning facility.
Swimming is offered during our summer camp program at the YMCA Sports park. A YMCA waiver form must be completed before your child can participate. All students will be given a swim test to determine their swimming abilities.
All meals will be provided at no extra cost. Meals will consist of afternoon snack and evening meal. Dinner is served from 5:20 pm – 5:50 pm. Menus will be posted on the parent board.
Students will be provided homework assistance. Homework will be checked for accuracy and neatness.  Teachers provide additional support for those students who are struggling on a particular skill.  Also, teachers help students prepare for tests and complete school projects.
Technology is available for students to promote more active learning.  Students may conduct research, use various computer software programs to practice skills and track progress.

Students participate in different activities and experiments exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Writing is an essential component to students being successful in their classrooms and on standardized tests.  Students are encouraged to write daily.  Writing workshops and teacher modeling are ways we hope to improve our students’ writing skills.
Students have the opportunity to participate in different activities to promote health and fitness. These activities include dance, jiu jitsu, basketball, and flag football.

Summer Camp

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm

During Summer Camp, students will start working on the standards and content that they will be learning on the grade level that they will be in that current school year. Students will get a head start on mastering standards and learning content that they will run into the first nine weeks of school. Students will have the opportunity to participate in different activities such as STEM/STEAM, Art, Spanish, Jiu Jitsu, Dance, and Swimming.

During the first half of the day students will focus on academics, with a stress on Reading and Math, and during the latter half of the day will participate in different recreational activities.m

Workshops such as Financial Literacy, Manners & Respect, Organizational Skills, Etiquette, etc.. will be provided for students that teach life-long skills.
